It's a formula 27 with a modified front end the fella who had it before changed the inboard suspension as it was running out of travel.

That's good news isn't it? IIRC the F27s had a good pedigree. Something like the manufacturer designed formula 2 cars so it was an F27 - a seven based on formula 2 knowhow.
