6 week wait

Postby Kegco » Mon Mar 27, 2017 9:57 pm

Just received a big parcel after 6weeks wait
All started with jerry can where to put it. idea was to put it under the fuel tank underneath the rear of the car, how to support it, fabricate a plate to hold the jerry can up and out of the way. Which got us thinking rear diffuser. Was going to build one, then found one online company that build race components 6 fin powered coated for a Tiger cat £145 built in 10 days and delivered only thing they are in Leicester but they deliver so didn't think it wouldn't be a problem.
After a lot of emails (10) and phone calls that there was no answer

Finally had it delivered.
Even though it's designed for tiger cat it's still got to be fabricated to fit

nice one Kev, think that a diffuser ona Cat makes the rear look far better - but always worth asking around and picking 'local' brains....as i had a pal of mine make a template for the same thing when i had my SuperCat, would have been a fair bit cheaper and quicker ;)

Looks good, but doesn't it fit on horizontal like in the top picture? :D

I think it's still going to need a lot of work to get around the wishbones, diff, spare wheel holder
I think it will look alright.finish the look off, but don't think the jerry can will fit behind it, what the diffuser was intended to be for, but we will see

MOT done so thought I would start the rear diffuser.
Took a while to fit, you don't realise how much the fibre glass body is out until you start measuring it up.
Fitted but still got to do a bit more to it. Had to make extra strengthening bar to surport it.

Brilliant, you can go first on some of the special 'SKCC' roads/tracks/alleys we often find ourselves on, that'll sort them out good and proper!
