Dax Rush radiator

Postby AshleyO » Thu Oct 01, 2015 1:27 pm

The Dax Rush kit was bought in 2001
Radiator upgrade box ticked
Rover 3.9 V8 engine
Whole engine bay seems to get VERY warm, even though water header tank running at 50 degs.
John Eales (he who must be believed) apparently felt that the radiator was too small
Does anyone have any experiences of fans and radiators that fit, and that are potentially overkill, but give peace of mind?
Any thoughts and general direction most appreciated
Ashley

I think the header tanks just acts as a reservoir. The temperature of water inside it is irrelevant.
Where is the coolant temperature sensor located, and what temperature does it run at?

I've a 4.6 V8 developments rv8 in my Luego and have never had an overheating problem.
Due to my original tin and copper one leaking at the seams I've recently had one made by radtec,
Its approx 60x30x7.5 cm with twin 11" pacet fans sucking. Its been driven hard in southern europe with no issues.
Rad tec list a Dax one on theit website although I had mine made to order.
I do have my exhaust headers Zircotec coated which should help the under bonnet temp.
