Gerbing products are very good, these are thee gloves I have, would recommend the jacket too as you only need a T-shirt underneath on even the snowy mornings

It may not be the same thing but I bought a cheap heated seat thing off eBay, plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket and it screwed the car up totally - idle all over the place, misfiring etc - undriveable.
Maybe drawing too much power, leaving not enough for the ECU? I don't know...
Like I said, heated clothing might be different but just my experience.

Did you let Tony B wire you car Neil ?
I have used the battery type gloves from Ebay Lee and although they work enough to keep the chill off the back of your hand not sure you will get enough life out of them for an early morning blatt .
I used heated gloves, quite thin and did not look like they would hold up well in rough treatment so I wear then inside the cheap ebay ones ( without the batteries ) and work really well.
if you feeling skint then could have a go making your own heated inner jacket like a few of us have ( did a thread on mine )

Actually, that's a good idea - I should try it in my tintop...

Errr, cheek , although I suspect that Neils issue is either a faulty eBay seat or however his car is wired!
I’ll have you know my DIY heated 80s duran Duran jacket was an excellent piece of kit too, it’s still in my wardrobe as a backup coat, however I’m not sure you could easily diy fit a wire mesh into a pair of gloves.

i reckon it could be done to an inner glove and then those slipped into a 'main' glove.
Have to say that i enjoyed making my old homemade jacket. If you guys hadn;t been kind enough to club together for my proper heated gear.....i'd have done the MNk2 version. Running an extra circuit to give a truly 'high' setting ie/ running 2 circuits at the same time = high, and 1 solo circuit would be normal/low.

I use the Gerbing motorcycle heated glove liner. They are thin so don't hinder using your fingers
