Hi Rich,
Thanks. Yeah, if you have one knocking around that would be good. Let me know what you want for it.
ST170 is a zetec. Just with more bells and whistles!
I'm just thinking of ways to make a better inlet manifold that doesn't pass over the top of the engine like my current set up.

Could buy a TIG and some ali? I think GBS do an inlet that'd work which you need a standard Zetec inlet for and use the injector part sandwiched to the head
Yes I've been drinking, what of it!!

Hi Dick, no actually - just std blacktop. And until you mentioned this I didn't realise that the ports of the ST170 were actually higher up the face of the head.
Hmm, that could be a problem.
I've recently won a full ST170 inlet manifold on eBay so I'll be able to see for myself when that arrives

I've had one of those mate. Lasted 2 months before cracking. It was a great fit and would be perfect, if it was only stronger.
This is something I'm still considering though, as I did get my one 2nd hand and I think the one I had was an earlier design and they have made it stronger now. I think I might speak to them.

You're seriously over-estimating my (potential) skill mate
You got a TIG or MIG Chris? Thought you had a MIG

Sort of both, the MIG needs a new wire feed, but mostly use the TIG. Used the TIG to do the pipe work for the supercharger in ali

You're aluminium welding is so much better than my attempts, I've practiced a bit, but just kept blowing holes. It's hard to get it to melt, then when it does, it's just gone and the AC makes a horrible noise
