Either ignore totally or, as per Mark’s suggestion turn the tables and state your alternative plan. That being they arrange someone to come and collect the car with cash in sterling. A genuine buyer will try and engage you in that plan, a scammer will insist it’s only possible via their Paypal route. The more dialogue you have about them compromising tends to show their weaknesses and their responses become increasingly robotic and insistent.

I think In dispute circumstances it is possible for PayPal to retrieve money back from your bank account so I wouldn’t just go with their suggestion. Whatever you do don’t accept their way of doing things!

Personally I would probably have a bit of dialogue with them for fun but with no real intention of doing a transaction.

Thanks guys for all your comments. I did suggest a bank transfer as I didn’t have PayPal and he turned me down flat and said PayPal only.
I was thinking on phoning PayPal to ask about what would happen
Thanks again

Scammer.

Report him to eBay fraud then move on.

I got scammed on a central heating pump the same way. Pays on Paypal, organises delivery and then puts a claim into ebay for damaged goods when it arrives. You will lose as Ebay always sides with the buyer

Run away Kev
