'D' = The Downs

yes atop the windswept Downs a vista opening to your eyesight below......ah so poetic.
OK This goes for ALL threads.
This is a competition so keep the banter at a minimum. We want to see a pic + a description / reason behind the pic, others are free to comment within the bounds of sense.

dave you need to resize the pic before posting its too bog....resize it rto 648/480 - if you use xp download 'powertoys' from the xp site, that adds resizing as an easy option ( right click pic and select the size ).....
and.......details dear chap, when was it taken etc etc.....and......when the heck are we going t o see you out and about?

The Suffolk Downs, aka the Stour Valley and Dedham Vale (my office) 8-)

I found this spot today as I stopped for my lunch and thought to myself it would make a nice picture with the setting sun over the valley. It wasn't the easiest getting the Westfield up the tractor path to the top of the hill and into the middle of a cornfield but for me the results were worth it.
