Ancient Thing - Called a "Distributor"

These were quite popular at one stage, back in the days when diesels made less power that petrol engines.
If like me you have a piece of automotive history pushing your car along, this guy "http://www.distributordoctor.com/" or Martin Jay to give him his real name can supply parts & rebuild Lucas distributors. I sent him the details of my distributor - the numbers off the side - & the engine spec & he sent me back a pair of advance springs that improved the engine no end. Not perhaps the cheapest, but he knows his stuff, & the springs arrived in two days.
