Popped out locally to try and grab a couple of shots in the surrounding countryside, not great pickings, my favourite one below.

I like the tones of the first picture Mike. It works for me.

Overall I like your thinking and also for getting out and taking the photos.

Thanks all, @ Nash, thinking.. yep, difficult one, have this image in my mind but little skills to deliver..

A bad workman and all that.. I’m not 100% happy with the lens, and image quality. Quality glass makes a huge difference, loathe to spend out though.

I find nature and landscapes the hardest to photograph, will keep trying , as there are so many opportunity’s with every day being unique.

A few more around Marden nothing brilliant just trying for a sunset. A few obvious technical issues.. no lens hood and some noise and vignetting.

Mike, I think you take a good photo, I like the way you try different things and techniques out. The sun sets work for me all day long. I think the colours are very vibrant and full.
Just a thought though, you said you are reluctant to spend money on a decent lens? Just think what you could do with a decent lens ??
Have you tried MPB on line ? I have used them quit a few times, part exchange etc.

Keep at Mike loving the pictures
