Box Hill

Yes yes I know it's not glamerous, but it is on the Olympic cycle route - which means it's been re-surfaced & the speed bumps have gone. So if you fancy a run up the Zigzag road, get in quick & early because it's infested with cyclists at any reasonable hour & going by the amount of rubber on the road, I wasn't the first to take advantage, so I'm guessing the humps will be back as soon as the last cyclist's rear wheel clears where it's going to be put.

For a mini routette, go north out of Dorking, left on the first roundabout, up Pebblecoombe, then first left at the top & first left again (after maybe 50 - 100 yds?) takes you to the top of the Zigzag road.

If you're really bored or enjoy looking at fast moving foliage, there's a vid here;-

Can do, but Box Hill's awash with cyclists during the hours of daylight, which is why I went at 06:00. I'll have a think about routes & places.
