Tame Racing Driver(s) Photo Shoot..

Postby b33fy » Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:24 pm

Grabbed a couple of passing racing drivers and managed to get some studio time, first session proper. Steep learning curve though determined to get some results at the end of the short session. Had a couple of hours to set up do the shoot and get packed up before a road closure at Tonbridge would double our journey time home. Lots of learning not a perfect session, I wont bore you with the detail, though I think we made a reasonable fist of it.

A huge thanks to Jay and Kam for being great subjects very obliging and made things easy for a couple of beginners, myself and a fellow togger, Clive. Here are a few of the results.

Good photos Mike.

How did they keep a straight face? I would feel very self conscious.

Both Jay and Kam were good at getting the right look. I suppose you gotta leave your inhibitions at the door and get the job done, James is good at it as well, a bit like acting.

As the photographer it’s your job to keep the subject at ease, give clear instructions and know what you want and how to get the best out of the subjects. The better you do that, the better the results obviously.

There were quite a few laughs as well which help.

I've commented elsewhere but for completeness

I really like these shots. Some good pictures and I think the mood is just right.

All in all, a job well done
