I heard this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4fNQNSssCk
on the radio the other day which made me wonder WHY? on 2 levels...why do some folks cover a song in a manner that's not radically different to an original. But moreover, why the hell do the radio stations play them. Before this 'version' came out i can't recall the last time i heard the original aired....

Not Sam Smiths best.. way too camp as well. Should leave the original alone.

Wouldn’t have put you with that genre. Lyrics are repetitive and doesn’t seem to go anywhere for me.

Now you've embraced your inner Ibiza raver, you could go for the full Pete Tong/Heritage Orchestra at the Albert Hall experience

One and a half hours of pure joy (well I like it, but understand that others might not). Long enough for a session in the garage with the stereo on full blast, twirling those spanners faster than they've been twirled before. It's even got a guest appearance from Ella Eyre.

ah - that's what lead me to the 'single' that i linked.
I'd wanted the full concert on cd for xmas, i';d seen the utube version and had assumed there would be a cd to accompany, seems there wasn't so....err the full thing seems to have found its way onto my mp3 player. god bless online converters.....

gotta love a bit of Faithless....

That. Is. Awesome.

Interestingly, the last thing that gave me musical goosebumps like that was Metallica S&M. There’s just something about classical fusions.
