Soap box, gravity racer going to a new home

Postby locost220 » Sun Oct 10, 2021 7:10 pm

So I decided to dig out the soap box cart that I made a few years ago that I used for two years in events put on by Martin ( Scrooge’s) village.
It been stuck to one side with the unfulfilled promise of me looking for some more events to try out, but time has come so it now loaded on the works plant trailer as I give it away to a man on one of the FB groups I joined for that reason.
So it off to my parents in kings lynn via Braintree to drop it off early doors tomorrow.
He got a kit car as well so plan to have a gander at that as well.
Just waiting for u tube to finalise my last little tour around it

That was a good day watching you and Kenton competing at Glynde :D
It's good that it will be used again.

yes sad in some way to see it go.
Alan who i gave it to hopes to get his teenage daughter involved to get her off her phone. he has asked on the same TB group page for some info on getting carts ready for whatever events he might fancy as thinks there might be different rules and also where they are.
someone has replied with the following planned events for 2022

There's about 20 events confirmed for 2022 already and probably another 20 to come in the next couple of months.
Local to you are
Great Dunmow - May 1
Billericay - June 3
Newmarket - Aug 28
Great Easton - Sept 3
Full list here at brisbra dot com (sorry Facebook doesn't like my url)

so i have joking asked for it back

He had his Dutton Phaeton tucked in his single gaarge so we had to pull it out anyway to have a gander, shamed myself by not taking any pictures.
