Topped out some of the build, out of wood now and a distinct lack of suppliers open, unless I buy Wickes crap for a rip off price.

Thanks for the heads up Colin, a bit too far away to deliver unfortunately.

Found another web based merchant pretty local, so ordered pretty much everything except weatherboarding. Should turn up in a week or so according to their website.

Did a bit more ‘landscaping’ digging out old raised beds, 7 in total 2 large ones left. Using the soil to level the area around the shed.

Landscaping/levelling done. Grass seed on order. Wood has turned up so the plan this weekend is to finish the few odds and sods around the frame and add the missing floor joists which I used to move and support the old shed currently  I need to get the roof joists done, add the osb sheeting and temporarily weatherproof with some Tyvek. Need to also do some more fencing at some point.

All weather dependent. I’ve also got to spend a bit of time swotting up as well as I have job interview first thing Tuesday. Because of the current situation we are unlikely to be able to realise any plans after I officially retire on the 31st July. So an opportunity has arisen for a 18 month contract looking at electronic prescribing. Might as well go for it, nothing to loose and potentially a few more quid in the retirement fund whilst the world slowly gets to grips with the current situation. Just means I’m retired for 24 hours only.

Best of luck Mike for Tuesday, hope it all goes well for you.
Hope you can get the shed water tight this weekend, looking good.

Thanks Colin.

A bit more done, floor joists all done along with roof joists on one side. Gable ends done. Had to make a couple of alterations on a couple of bits that I wasn’t that happy with, particularly the infill on the gable ends I’d done previously. A PITA trying to pull out 90mm ringshanks. A few more roof joists, and a 9x2 centre beam to go in. A few odds and sods, noggins etc which tend to take the time, then get it boarded up and weather tight.
