Re: Man Cave Mk2
I know what you mean, I will have to start decorating when the weather worsens, and I hate moving furniture around and covering stuff.

Ripped into the hall landing and stairs. New landing floor done and old doorway blocked up. Next job is level the hall floor then new woodwork and painting. Hate painting so going to use a spray gun and see how I get on.
In other news kit car is sold along with the spares, so had a good clear out. Car is still to be collected. It’s out the way so no rush.
Get the keys next week for the shithole in Scotland. Going up at the end of the month to catch up with various people and make changes to some of the plans and get them into planning ASAP. Anyone want some cheap storage let me know!

Car has now gone. Just back from Scotland. Quite the worthwhile trip. Got the keys, sorted the architect and structural engineer. Met the neighbour and had a general tidy up. Putting in some updated plans on the lodge to give us 3 en-suite bedrooms and going open plan, ideal for Airbnb. Pleased with what the architect had come up with. He has also made suggestions for the plot which are very exciting, though tenuous at the moment. Will share if they come to anything.

Those plans look good Mike, like the idea of for en-suite for all the bedrooms. The open plan makes that area look so big.

Re: Man Cave Mk2
A bit of an update for anyone who’s interested. Finished the hall then Jay kindly assisted in moving tools etc to the lodge a couple of weeks ago. James and I have been here since, living rough in the lodge while we get a few things done. Sorted some basics, cold water, a microwave and some heat. A couple of kettles for hot water. The header tank for the immersion heater in the loft had rusted through, so no chance of a hot water supply.
Priorities are to clear the yard as much as possible, creating decent access for delivery’s etc. Put together some temporary site accommodation in the form of shepherds huts and then gut the lodge. Currently digging out the last of the concrete to create new access. Didn’t look a big area until you start chipping away.. in hindsight I should have bought some ID with me to get a pecker. Anyway we’re persevering, character building as they keep telling me
