So EDF installed the meters today. They connect to HQ, but won't connect to the In Home Display. That'a been taken away and somebody should contact me in the next couple of weeks. Apparently lots of problems with the second gen meters. Complete waste of time. Then again it is a government IT project, so I should not be surprised.

I'm also fairly convinced they are getting are getting some form of kickback for every one fitted.

I havnt got either leccy or water meter, and don't plan on doing so,
The leccy one I just bin the letter, and we rarely use the house phone, so if they call, just ignore it

The water board or who were adiment that by LAW we had to have a meter fitted (not so)
So I agreed, and said of you can find our outside stopcock, fit one, 3 ish years later, they havnt, I know were it is, and my next doors one, but they are not in the same place as the other 300 or so houses on our estate, and the water board numpties have yet to find them :D

Daughter has a smart meter fitted, although she pays on a key, so the meter is irrelevant, so she turns it off

Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at
