One of the RAF's Harriers was nick-named Christine, it didn't repair itself, but it did try to kill a couple of pilots with unexplained "departure from controlled flight". They tried to side-line it, but whenever there was a mod package to be fitted, somehow Christine was the only aircraft available - spooky  .

In the end it was one of the two jets damaged by a mortar at Kandahar & the fleet was grounded before it could be repaired.
