David, sorry to read about your 'off', but glad you're OK, the car can be fixed

Re: Track Day - Silverstone GP Circuit (Mon 06 Nov)
Such a shame about David's off today, but at least the car can be repaired and he was ok.
Apart from that, it was actually a very good day. Amazing sunny weather (although very cold driving there and on the way home). Myself, Neil and Chris had a superb, trouble free day. The only tinkering was that I had to raise the ride height of my car at the back as the tyre was rubbing on the wheel arch under hard cornering.
My first time doing Silverstone. Took a bit of learning as the GP layout is very long! It's a very fast circuit and very wide too. Towards the end I was getting the hang of it I think.
Good to see Crunchie Paul with his new toy.

Sorry David for your troubles. Don’t think about it too much, just get it fixed and get beck out there
Some may have seen the Fun Cup lurking in one of the photos. Yet to see if I have made the right choice; not because the car is not fun to drive, just concerned I can get up to speed. That said, when it worked, it is very awesome with much more grip than I ever thought. Round Abbey you just lift half way for turn in and floor it It just does it and posts a letter when it is going to let go.
The lines are very different to anything I have driven. Much of it is balancing shortening the course and carrying speed. Would have liked more time on the track, as it did not run well, but when it did go
We need to do a lot of work on the car to make it work, to make it not look like a War Dog. Looking forward to sorting the problems and having some mile in the car

Thanks for the kind words guys. Only myself to blame.
Winter project starts as soon as I get some time to go to the garage.
Finally home now after a long day. Surprisingly difficult to get a car transported from a circuit. The money I've saved on trailer hire over the years has now gone though.

Re: Track Day - Silverstone GP Circuit (Mon 06 Nov)
Just got home and had a shower. Finally warm. With the exception of David’s off it was a great day.
It was good to see Paul shaking down the Fun Cup Car and Steve and Chris learning the track.
From my point of view I spent the first half of the day learning the track and popping brave pills. The two sessions I did after lunch felt really good and all in all I’m pleased with my progress. There are a number of turns I left time on the table but that’s the fun. It gives my an excuse to go back. I will wait til it warms up a bit though.
Glad you got home ok David.

Firstly David I’m glad you’re ok. I just hope you get the car on the road ASAP and that it’s not too expensive a fix. No one wants to see their pride and joy damaged.
It was a superb day. The weather was superb for this time of year. I had a lesson from the instructor before I cracked on learning the track and the lines. Really a lot of fun and can’t recommend it enough to people.
Paul Crunchie your ‘dub looked great fun and I hope you get him/her running properly and enjoy the race series. You’ll have to let us know where and when you’ll be starting and we can send the SKCC cheerleaders
Fun day.

Photos look great. Where do I find them on the web? Quite possible the photographer had not set up yet by the time I took my early bath.

I think we'll have to have a western meeting over a pint so you can fill us in on what happened. There's nothing like the bragging rights after surviving an off
