Getting organised - 2017 track days

Postby Crunchie Gears » Wed Nov 09, 2016 5:52 pm

I am looking at booking some track days for 2017 as they are good value at the minute and I woundered if anyone would like to book too. These are the ones that have struck me:

1. Spa - Saturday 18 March - open pit lane - £225
2. Silverstone - Monday 27 March - 3 seasons per hour - £180
3. Brands Hatch - Thursday 4 May - 3 seasons per hour - £299

Silverstone appears great value and the price will go up. It is a brilliant track and not too fast for our cars.

All the days are organised by Lotus On Track.

Will have a think. I like the idea of Spa. What would be the logistics?

Last week at Silverstone we only had one season per hour - Winter! ;)

Oh just noticed sessions!

Spa I march 3 season in the day for sure.

I would suggest we travel out the day before. Stay in a hotel. Do the track day. Make some way back and stay over. Back the following day. We can stay in budget places. So budget an extra 200 GBP for tunnel, Hotels, meals plus some fuel.

Paul, you are a bloody temptress!!

Edit* just been on LoT website. I know it's early but a lot less trackdays on the LoT site for 2017 at this point of the year?

Spa only in March!? Usually March, June & September!

My only real criteria for TD's is open pit lane!

I want to do Silverstone but not sessions.

Always up for Spa but March is risking the weather.

Like the look of Blister Berg!! Given I'm over there on the road trip it'd be rude not to consider it!

Bloody temptess!!

Have to think.

Depends what she looks like? If she has your legs I may be ok! Haha.

I have some bigger picture plans to lock down for 2017 overall but plans are afoot and pieces beginning to slot into place. TD's are in the provisional plans.

For now I am enjoying a few days with the wifester in Amsterdam enjoying just kicking back and helping shape those plans free of real life.
