Im not going to Stoneleigh and Im not happy about it!

I was talking to the lady yesterday about how much I cant wait to get the car and different events coming up that I want to go to when this conversation come up;
Me: So, the first weekend away will be with the same people I met at Detling on May bank holiday.
Lady: May bank holiday?
Me: Yeeeeeeees, why?
Lady: You have already said that we can go to meet my parents while they are on holiday in Cornwall. We are going to stay in a cottage, but we will have to sleep on the floor because my sister and her man has the other bed.
Me: WHAT!!! Can I take the new car.
Lady: No because we need to leave late on the friday due to the long drive and traffic. Plus you cant park anywhere close so you might not see it all weekend. You promissed you would go, dont let me down.
Me: I didnt realise which weekend the show was on, cant I.....
Lady: NO!

Blown out of the water with no return. Guess ill have to wait another year.

Last time i had a daft conversation along those kind of lines i resolved to sort the issue out, and pencilled in umpteen days, weekends with the short phrase ' mark out all day', or mark away w/end. Job done!

We're planning to be away that weekend too. I don't have a say in it really. Although could always find a hotel nearby and not tell the wife!

Neil, I heard the suiside rate up north was much higher, so your hitman is probably more likely to shout himself rather than someones misses
