Liking the first and last shot Mark, nice compositions and both work well in B&W.

It’s handy having the tech there if you need it. I enjoy snapping Birds in Flight on occasions, but it’s so difficult. The camera helps in a lot of respects. A recent shot below.

Not sure why I have the urge to fook over my shots and make them look old and fooked up, should have bought an old nail of a camera really. Here’s one from the 70’s I quite like, though I might try and photoshop yellow headlights if I can be bothered.

Well not 4 weeheled, although i'm sure i heard about one of the engines being fitted in a Roller many years ago....

a pal of mine was on the blower last week to ask if i fancied going to Biggin Hill to be in the so called 'chase' plane - as he was having a ride in the Spitfire.
Would have been rude not to - so took my camera along.

Without being churlish, the organizers have missed a trick - although the 2 pilots are talking during the flight, the pilot of the chase plane doesnt tell the passengers what's coming next. so there's virtually no warning when the Spit zooms in or peels away......
bummer, as obvs that would have been handy to know!

Plus annoyingly, the chase plane doesnt have a window opening for any cameras, so its a question of shooting through the perspex. Sunday was lovely and sunny, and erm, the windows were quite reflective - so umpteen shots have artifacts that frankly are beyond my level to get rid of.

Ironically i was asked after if i'd enjoyed it and seen much, the answer being - yep, but until the Spit peeled off to do its own thing i hadnt a frigging clue where we were as was just looking through the camera. Turned out that much by luck i got a few shots over Otford ( where pal lives) and also looking past the plane towards his house. Happy days.

Kudos to the pilot - was asked if there was any chance of flying over a boozer in 7oaks - given he's from north essex, had a scrawled 'map' shown him 2 mins before takeoff - he found it, circled it and did the wing dip before zooming off. Top marks!

anyways...here's a cple that i'm ok with....

They’re great shots Mark, nice bit of prop blur going on. You did well through the Perspex with these shots.

thanks Mike, appreciate the 'kudos clap' - trawled through all the shots again today, and althoigh i've got about another 6 that are usable, that's about it. And yep, was pleased with the 'prop blur' , wasn't sure what speed to go with, but worked out ok.

Great shots Mark. I flew MJ627 June 2021, the top shot is almost directly above our place. Amazing experience total sensory overload. My highlight was barrel rolling over the cuckmere haven.
