Minirods Lydden Hill 19th March

It was our first race meet of the year yesterday. My first time racing the newly built car although I did use it at Brands last month.
The first heat I was lined up in 5th but the car for 3rd never appeared so I got up straight away into that spot. The car went well and seemed to be better geared than the old car meaning I could just keep it in 3rd and it pulled no problem. I got up to second and thought I wouldn’t catch the leader but I did and just got up the side of him as we crossed the line.
The second heat was the grid reversed meaning I was near the back. I got a good start and managed to pick my way through finishing in 3rd.
The final we was lined up in points scored order (from the heats) which put me in 2nd on the grid I lost one place but got back to 2nd. So a good day for me I got a trophy and I’m 2nd in the points I’ve just got to keep scoring the points now for the rest of the season
I’m sure Kev will be along with how he got on soon.

First heat started 9th
2nd heat had a tyre blow out DNF
Final heat because of DNF started last
Well done Matt on your silverware

Matt and Kev, Tony B has created a sticky for your racing, so go to Board Index and scroll right to the bottom and should see the title there for you to post the dates and maybe use it as a story board during the year maybe
