Snetterton GT Racing Saturday 11th July.

Postby b33fy » Sun Jul 12, 2020 7:56 pm

Popped along yesterday to catch some racing, great to see some track action after the sabbatical. First proper go with the new camera. James decided to have my (not so) old camera and came along too. A few shots below..

looks like you had a decent day to trial the new toy Mike....
didn't realise that spectators were allowed back at motorsport events - no idea what was on at Brands, but that seemed loud, although the wind was blowing this way - but assumed when i heard it, that it woul dbe behind closed doors like F1....obvs not!

A few restrictions, advance ticket holders only and no access to paddock/pits etc. No spectators at track/ test days either, though I’ve been told differently this evening so it seems to change with the wind at the moment.

It was a historic meet at Brands of some sort. didn’t fancy it tbh, thought I’d head to Snett and avoid the high fences. Not that busy really, a few toggers knocking about, but no problems accessing good viewing spots.

That camera has certainly made those photos come alive Mike. Your old camera was great but wow the colours are so vibrant. I do like the first picture the best but they are all brill.

Thanks Colin, it’s taken the quality to another level and more where I wanted to be. The autofocus is more powerful and quicker than the 90d so I find it easier to pick a car out of a group. Downside is slower frame rate at 7fps, though I can live with that. Adjusting in post processing is easier with less needed to tweak the images.

Overall a great purchase and a keeper. (until the next new model )
