Why I've been quiet

Postby Nash » Tue Oct 29, 2019 7:53 am

None of you will be wondering why I've been quiet over the last month or so on here but it's not just because of the forum issues.

Having supported Jamie last year with his racing has relit a fire I have kept damped down for the last 15 years.

So it's time to try and let the fire loose. There are a lot of hurdles to get over but I have to try.

Every journey starts with the first step so I've bought a 'donor' well 2 actually but that's another story and started the process of building a race car.

What this does mean is that I have had to (chosen to) SORN the Indy for now. 2 reasons for that, I need to focus on the huge amount of work it takes to build the car over the winter and secondly saving money where I can as the cost of this endeavour is eye watering! Ask any of the racers in the forum.

At this point I need to doff my cap to Jamie and Dick at Snodhurst for helping me live my dream and spend my money....... wisely??? :?

Here are a few pics of the "progress"? So far

I look forward to seeing the build progress.
I know the feeling of wanting to get back out there, I’ve been looking at a few cars that have come up for sale lately but I’ve got too much else going on at the moment really.

Well done for going for it Neil. I look forward to seeing progress and watching you race.

Are you entering the same championship as Jamie? Or is it a coincidence that it's a Honda?

I don't know what championship / Series yet Duncan but I am looking to run under the Team Snodhurst umbrella as they run a great team and that aside going racing with your mates is a hoot. That all said, Honda was the obvious choice and Jamie, Dick and I have had lots of discussions about the way to go.

Exciting times.
