Well done Jeff. You've got to be very pleased with that after quite a bit of development time and some frustrating setbacks. Hopefully the beginning of a prolonged period of being competitive.

Nice one!

I realise that eventually you get to know/do the same circuits, but how do you figure out braking points etc.
ie/ if someone does a track day they get umpteen goes at trying to find the balance of braking/gear/speed etc for any/all corners. Presumably in sprinting there's 10 goes ( or whatever the exact number) to get it right...bit like an F1 qualy, but those guys get to practice on a SIM.....

It is all guess work really, you also have cold tyre/brakes to cope with. On Sunday I got 5 runs.
P1 66.27
P2 63.79
T1 61.45
T2 69.45 (inlet leak, backed out of it)
T3 59.85

I've never been under 62 secs on this course. Average speed was 85.96MPH and 122MPH through the speed trap. The next fastest through the speed trap was 111MPH.

Still 2-3 secs left on the table, just need to commit more on certain corners.

I suppose if you have a data logger you can review after each run and maybe glean some insight....but interesting that essentially its educated guesswork.

It comes down to experience and how brave you feel.

It's a bit like rallying, you have to drive it on site with no chance to practice beforehand

So much for f1 being the pinnacle of motorsport - too much practice!
