What a great day! The weather held out and we all got plenty of track time, no one hit any solid objects either so that made a nice change for Dave and me although I was black flagged for overtaking a GTM on the brakes into the bus stop!
The short track suited the kits with top gear not even used and there were some well prepared cars running slicks that made it look very easy. Will certainly look out for this one next year.

Yup, a great day on the track - not so good on my return but more about that later. In the meantime, a couple of pics:
SKCC boys together (well, Dave and Steve):
This guy had 350bhp, switchable to 450 but drove like he had 100
I was pretty much the slowest thing on the track but, hey, I had a great time and my car SEEMED to have survived unscathed.
Unfortunately, on the way home (I took the scenic route), I started getting a misfire which got so bad, I was just kangarooing down the road. Finally stopped, couldn't work out what the Hell was wrong so called the AA. The guy that came out was great - used to work at a Ford garage so he knew more about my car than I did
He spent 4 (!) hours trying to fix it, swapping out the coil pack, HT leads, spark plugs, re-wiring one of my plugs. It was better but not right
At 11:30pm, I asked to be trailered home only to be told my cover was limited and I'd have to pay £250 Sod that, I'd limp home...limited myself to 60mph and finally fell into bed at 4am !!
Do I get a free mug for courage in the face of overwhelming odds? I did feel a bit like a damaged bomber back from a raid, trailing smoke, one engine....
