Hello from a Fireblade powered Fisher owner

Postby amc3121 » Tue May 05, 2015 12:52 pm

Hello,

Well here I go again on another project.

Recently bought most of a Fisher Menace with a Fireblade 919 engine on carbs.
Looks like it will be a long process getting it up and running.

If there is anyone in Berkshire or surrounding areas who is using a 919 Fireblade engine on carbs and has it running
I would like to hear from you.

Have a great summer out on the roads

Hi for round the corner in Bracknell.

I know nothing but happy you have joined the club :D

Mark I think it is a very rare Fury with a mid engined bike engine in the passenger seat. I think they call it a menace as you can get your fingers burnt as it is in touching distance. :D That said it must have a lot of luggage space under the bonnet. Then again I maybe wrong.

Hi I'm down in Yateley, I don't know anything about bike engines but I'm up for lending a hand if you need help at any point.

M.En.Ace

Mid Engine rAce

Imagine a Fury with the cockpit moved forward about a foot & an engine - as has been said - where the passenger's bum would be. Quite a nice looking machine, I saw one with a full carbon shell at fishers once. Didn't know there were any street legal.

Need photos.

I drove a red Menace at North Weald back in (maybe) 2005 when Mark Fisher was building Furys as Fisher Sports Cars.
Nippy little thing but then the heavens opened - rain and 'king big hailstones as I recall - so I never quite got to push it to the limit.
Proved a point, to me at least, that a car without a windscreen isn't much fun when the weather's rubbish unless you've got a crash helmet on.
In the Menace you'd need one anyway with the engine right next to you. Good trackday car I would think.
