Sun 29th Oct - Western run then White Lion meet

Postby David T » Mon Oct 23, 2017 7:52 am

07:15 Blackbushe for 07:30 departure. An hour-ish down Micheldever way, then back around to the usual end of month car meet at White Lion Antiques. Wander around the cars with a bacon sandwich, etc.

Another good Sunday morning blat in the north Hampshire countryside. We got off to a bit of a damp start, well wet really so I had to give in and put the roof up in Odiham  The roads were very slippery especially with some 3 year old ditch finders on (note to self "I must buy some better tyres over the winter). That made some of the more enjoyable technical bits of the route a bit of a nightmare as stopping the roadster was a challenge! This loop gets better with each refinement that David makes, I'm surprised more of the westerners don't join us :?

Anyway we got to the car meet ok and enjoyed a coffee and a bacon bap before taking a look at the cars. I was surprised to see some many there considering the damp start to Sunday morning...

No pictures though so I must have been dreaming

I take the criticism Andy. I am not sure my car picks have helped me to do these runs and I miss them! That said, I am living the dream to do some competition.

How many days can I get a pass for from head Office! Not sure what is fare?

I will definitely away for 6 weekends next year! And a trip to the south of Portugal makes it hard to be away more. Clearly, I need a more understanding head Office :?
